About the ATD16

TheDepartmental Technical Agency of Charente is a public service providing assistance and advice to local and regional authorities. It has about thirty agents and offers its members (municipalities, community of municipalities, unions, etc.) expertise and support on various topics that may affect the legal and digital aspects of planning and mapping. The challenge was precisely to allow everyone to access all services via a single authentication. On the one hand, Single-Sign-On (SSO) technology has emerged as the most relevant to the needs of the industryATD16. It first required the implementation of a new Lemon LDAP::NG tool. On the other hand, we had to find a solution that could avoid a complete overhaul of the system. The Free IPA tool did the job perfectly, not only supported the migration of the existing directory but it also made possible evolutions for a more modern and adaptable use. Development work to customize the administration interface then made it possible to adapt the tool to the specific needs of members, in this case local authorities.
